Jim Coode American football player

James Coode (October 22, 1951 - June 1987) was a Canadian football offensive lineman who played seven seasons in the Canadian Football League for the Ottawa Rough Riders. He played college football at the University of Michigan. He was a part of the Rough Riders' Grey Cup victory in 1976. He won the CFL's Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award in 1978.Coode died in June 1987 of ALS. He was diagnosed with the disease in 1979, and played one more season after the diagnosis.
