Jimmy "Major" Kennedy (born 1890) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-forward for the Cork senior team.Kennedy made his first appearance for the team during the 1912 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen for the following fifteen seasons. During that time he won one All-Ireland medal and four Munster medals. In 1919 Kennedy captained the team to the All-Ireland title.At club level Kennedy was a one-time county championship medalist with Carrigtwphill.
