Joel John American football player

Joel John (born August ) is a former Canadian football player in the Canadian Football League for two years. John played linebacker for the Toronto Argonauts, Oakville Longhorns and Jr. Toronto Argonauts. He played college football at the University of Toronto. John is also a fifth-degree black belt in Karate/Kung-Fu/Kenpo and was a member of the Canadian Karate Kung-Fu Association (CKKA)[1] headed by Master Dave Chong. In July 1989 the Canadian National team, consisting of Andra Sack, John Palitti, Alvin Brown, Heather Alonzo, Tony Consiglio, Kees Kukins, Don James (four times world Tae Kwon Do champion) and several others, entered the World Games held in Karlsruhe, Germany. John won the European heavyweight championships and helped the Canadian team to win the overall championships in the Netherlands the next weekend. John was also a two-time Canadian heavyweight karate champion (1987 and 1988) also reaching a rank of number two overall rated fighter in Canada for the year 1985 as ranked by Karate Illustrated magazine. John can be seen with his old karate nemesis Billy Blanks in the movies Talon of the Eagle and TC 2000.
