Jorge Manuel Almeida Gomes de Andrade, OIH (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈʒɔɾʒ(ɨ) ɐ̃ˈdɾad(ɨ)]; born 9 April 1978) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a central defender.After playing two years with Porto he went on to represent Deportivo (which would be his main club – 169 official appearances in five seasons) and Juventus, appearing rarely for the latter due to injury.Andrade gained more than 50 caps for Portugal, representing the nation in one World Cup and one European Championship and helping it finish second in Euro 2004.
