Joseph Francel
Joseph Francel (September 2, 1895 – January 25, 1981) was an electrician from Cairo, New York who served as the state of New York's executioner from 1939 to 1953. He executed 137 people, including Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. Francel lies buried in section 4 of Cairo Cemetery, near the village which bears the same name.
