Julie Dowling Athlete
Julie Caroline Van Keulen, BEM (born 7 December 1959) is an Australian Paralympic athlete from Tasmania. At the 1984 New York/Stoke Mandeville Games, she became the first Tasmanian ever to represent Australia at a Summer Paralympic Games. At the 1984 New York/Stoke Mandeville Games, she won a gold medal in the Women's Javelin 4 event. In 1985, she received a British Empire Medal. In 2005, she was added to the Tasmanian Sporting Hall of Fame.
