Karl Britzelmayr Military person

Karl Britzelmayr (26 May 1894 – 9 March 1988) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Karl Britzelmayr was captured by American troops in April 1945, he was released in 1947.
