Li Tie Sports manager

Li Tie is a former professional Chinese international footballer who played as a midfielder or striker. Born in Shenyang he started his career playing for Liaoning and rose to prominence during the 1999 Chinese league season when Liaoning came runners-up within the league. Li's form saw him become an integral member of the Chinese national football team where he was part of the squad that went to the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He moved to English Premier League club Everton in 2002 where after an impressive début season his career at the club was blighted by a string of injurys. He moved to Sheffield United before returning to China with Chengdu Blades and subsequently finishing his career with his first club Liaoning. He is currently the coach of Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande.
