Lisa Powell Athlete

Lisa Carruthers (née Powell) (born 8 July 1970 in Sydney, New South Wales) is a former field hockey forward, who was a member of the Australian Women’s Hockey Team, best known as the Hockeyroos, that won the gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Four years later she was on the squad, winning the title once again, this time in front of their home crowd in Sydney, Australia. Powell made her Olympic debut at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. She was the leading scorer with four goals at the 1993 Women's Champions Trophy in Amstelveen, Netherlands.
