Lloyd Cardwell American football player
Lloyd Raymond Cardwell (April 19, 1913 – November 10, 1997) was an American football player and coach. He played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and professionally for the Detroit Lions for seven seasons. After his playing days, Cardwell coached the track & field and football (1947-1959) teams at Omaha University (the precursor to the University of Nebraska-Omaha) including the undefeated 1954 season team that also won the Tangerine Bowl.
