Mariya Oktyabrskaya Military person

Mariya Vasilyevna Oktyabrskaya (Russian: Мария Васильевна Октябрьская; 16 August 1905 – 15 March 1944) was a Soviet tank driver during World War II. She was the first female tanker to be awarded the Hero Of The Soviet Union award; the Soviet Union's highest award for bravery during combat.
