Mariya Savinova Athlete
Mariya Savinova (born 13 August 1985) is a Russian athlete, who specializes in the 800 metres. She won the gold medal at the 2010 European Championships in Barcelona with a time of 1:58.22. Savinova was born in Chelyabinsk. In 2009, she became the European indoor champion in the 800 m and the world indoor champion (also in the 800 m) one year later.
