Mary Dewson
Mary Williams (Molly) Dewson (1874–1962) was a feminist and political activist. Head of the Women's Division of the Democratic National Committee in 1932 after an active role in the New York Consumer's League. In this new role, she worked with FDR to bring the women's vote into action for his first term. During this time she saw many women get elected into Democratic leadership positions with Frances Perkins (first women in presidential cabinet as the Secretary of Labor) and Ellen S. Woodward. Also helped with FDR's New Deal among women.
