Maud Olofsson Politician

Maud Elisabeth Olofsson (born Olsson 9 August 1955, Arnäsvall, Örnsköldsvik Municipality, Ångermanland) is a Swedish former politician who was leader of the Swedish Centre Party from 2001 to 2011, Minister for Enterprise and Energy from 2006 to 2011 and Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden from 2006 to 2010. She was a member of the Riksdag from 2002 to 2011.Olofsson announced her intent to step down as party leader on June 17, 2011 and was succeeded by Annie Lööf on September 23, 2011.
