Max Pfeffer Military person

Max Pfeffer (12 June 1883 – 21 December 1955) was a highly decorated General der Artillerie in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded the IV Armeekorps. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Max Pfeffer was captured by Soviet troops at Stalingrad in 1943. He died in Soviet captivity in 1955.
