Melbourne Tierney Rugby player
Melbourne "Mel" Tierney (birth registered January–March 1924 (age 90–91)) birth registered in Llanelli district, is a professional rugby league footballer of the 1940s and '50s, playing at international level for Wales, and at club level for Belle Vue Rangers, as a Second-row, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.
