Michael Parkhurst Football player

Michael Finlay Parkhurst (born January 24, 1984) is an American soccer player. He plays as a centerback for, and captains, the Columbus Crew SC in Major League Soccer. The 2005 MLS Rookie of the Year and 2007 MLS Defender of the Year Award, he is capable of playing both centerback and rightback. Parkhurst has played for the United States men's national team, including being a member of two CONCACAF Gold Cup squads and participating in the 2008 Summer Olympics.
