Mitch Atkins Baseball player
Mitchell Shane Atkins (born October 1, 1985) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is with the Texas Rangers organization. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago Cubs and Baltimore Orioles.Atkins played high school baseball at Northeast Guilford High School in McLeansville, NC. He originally committed to Elon University, but was drafted by the Cubs in the seventh round of the 2004 MLB Draft, 216th overall.
