Nannette Jolivette Brown Politician

Nannette Jolivette (born 1963) is a United States district judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. She previously had served in the role of city attorney for the city of New Orleans from the time that Mayor Mitch Landrieu hired her in May 2010 until becoming a federal judge in 2011. As city attorney, Brown had been responsible for all city contracts and oversees all legal matters for the city.The United States Senate confirmed Brown by unanimous consent on October 3, 2011. She received her judicial commission on October 4, 2011.
