Nelson Figueroa, Jr. (born May 18, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent. He attended Brandeis University.The right-handed starting pitcher and occasional long reliever stands at 6'1", 185 pounds. He features a fastball topping out at 91 mph, slider, curveball, changeup and a splitter. He is of Puerto Rican descent and played for Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic.
