Newton T. Gould Military person

Newton Thomas Gould (May 14, 1843 – April 2, 1925) was a Union Army soldier during the American Civil War. He received the Medal of Honor for gallantry during the Siege of Vicksburg on May 22, 1863. Gould joined the 113th Illinois Infantry in August 1862, and was mustered out in June 1865. He died on April 2, 1925, at age 81 and was buried at Old City Cemetery in Sacramento, California.
