Norman Banks Cleric
Norman Banks SSC (born 4 April 1954) is an Anglican bishop, an Honorary Chaplain to the Queen and the current Bishop of Richborough.Banks studied at Oriel College, Oxford before then studying for ordination at St Stephen's House, Oxford. He was an assistant curate at Christ Church and St Ann's, Newcastle from 1982 to 1987 and priest in charge until 1990. He was Vicar of St Paul's Whitley Bay from 1990 until 2000. Latterly he was Vicar of Walsingham until his appointment as the third Bishop of Richborough.Banks was consecrated as a bishop at Southwark Cathedral on 16 June 2011.
