Pat George Politician
Pat George is an American businessman and politician from Kansas. He has been Kansas Secretary of Commerce since February 2011.George was a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives from the 119th district from 2005 until his resignation, effective January 10, 2011, when Governor Sam Brownback was inaugurated. Brownback has previously announced his intention to nominate George to serve as commerce secretary. George's nomination was confirmed by the Kansas Senate in February 2011.George was a co-owner of the Dodge City Legend professional basketball team. Additionally, he has been a partner in a number of businesses, including the Dodge City Steak Company and G and G Incorporated.He has his B.A. in psychology from Benedictine College.
