Ecumenical Patriarch Athenagoras I, born Aristocles Spyrou (Greek: Αριστοκλής Σπύρου; 6 April 1886 – July 7, 1972) was the 268th Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople from 1948 to 1972.
