Paul Ebel Military person

Paul Ebel (8 July 1916 – 31 October 1986) was a highly decorated Feldwebel in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Paul Ebel was captured by Soviet troops in May 1944 during the Crimean Offensive. He was held until 1949.
