Paul Noyes College coach
Marshall Paul Noyes was an American football player and coach. He served as the first head football coach at Northwestern University, coaching one season in 1893 and compiling a record of 2–5–3. As of completion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 22nd at Northwestern in total wins and 19th at Northwestern in winning percentage.Northwestern first played football in 1876 there are claims that Knowlton Ames was their first coach, not Noyes.
