Peter Maher

Peter Maher (born November 11, 1949) is a Canadian sportscaster. He has been the radio voice of the NHL's Calgary Flames since they moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1980. He currently announces Flames games on the city's all-sports radio station, The Fan 960. Prior to working for the Flames, he called Toronto Maple Leafs games on the radio from 1977 to 1980. In November 2006, he was inducted into the NHL Hockey Hall of Fame as a media honouree, the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award winner. In 2010, Maher was the voice of the Vancouver Olympics hockey broadcast for Rogers Sportsnet.
