Quilvio Veras Baseball player

Quilvio Alberto Veras Perez (born April 3, 1971 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) is a former Major League Baseball second baseman.During the 1998 season, Veras had to leave a game because his brother had been murdered in the Dominican Republic.On July 15, 1999 he scored the first ever run at Safeco Field.Signed by the New York Mets as an amateur free agent in 1989, Veras made his Major League Baseball debut with the Florida Marlins on April 25, 1995, and appeared in his final game on July 13, 2001.
