R. W. Red Watkins College coach
Robert Williams "Red" Watkins (February 28, 1905 – July 2, 1985) was the sixth head football coach for the Appalachian State Mountaineers located in the town of Boone in Watauga County, North Carolina from 1940–41. He died in 1985.
