Rajon Rondo Basketball player

Rajon Pierre Rondo (born February 22, 1986) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a four-time All-Star, one-time All-NBA team selection, and a four-time All-Defensive member. He also led the NBA in steals during the 2009–10 season, and assists during the 2011–12 and 2012–13 seasons. He began his professional career with the Boston Celtics, winning an NBA championship in 2008.Rondo played two years of college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats before he was drafted 21st overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2006 NBA draft. He was subsequently traded to the Celtics. He played a supporting role before he established himself as the starting point guard for the Celtics during the 2007–08 season. That season, Rondo earned his first league championship, playing alongside All-Stars Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce. His breakout performance came during the 2009 NBA Playoffs, where he nearly averaged a triple-double, and helped his team take the eventual Eastern Conference champion Orlando Magic to seven games in the semi-finals. He ranks fourth in Celtics history in assists and third in steals. Rondo was traded to Dallas in 2014.
