Ramesh Chennithala Politician

Ramesh Chennithala (Malayalam:രമേശ്‌ ചെന്നിത്തല) (born 25 May 1956, in Chennithala, Mavelikkara, Kerala, India) is an Indian politician. He is the son of late Ramakrishnan Nair. He was elected as a Member of Parliament thrice and was also a Kerala State Cabinet Minister at the age of 27 in K.Karunakaran's ministry. He is a Working Committee member of Congress Party and was the President of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) for almost a decade till he handed over the charges to V. M. Sudheeran on 10 February 2014. He has taken portfolio of Home Minister of Kerala State from 1 January 2014.He also known by the actions taken against the blade mafias known as "Operation kubera".Educational Qualifications:-B.A., LLB, Visharad (Hindi).Educated at N S S Hindu College, Changanacherry, Kottayam and Government Law College,Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala
