Ricardo Pires Martial artist

Ricardo Pires is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He founded the Las Vegas Combat Club. Pires has coached several fighters in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) such as Heath Herring, Phil Baroni, and Frank Mir. Ricardo gave Frank Mir his black belt after he defeated Tim Sylvia for the UFC Heavyweight championship in 2004.Ricardo Pires is also an accomplished BJJ competitor himself. He is a multiple-time Pan American champion, Brazilian National Champion, and Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) trials runner-up. Pires now resides in Beachwood, Ohio with his wife and children where he runs the Ricardo Pires Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy.
