Robert Caret
Robert L. Caret (born October 7, 1947) is the president of the University of Massachusetts. He was elected President of the five-campus, 68,000-student University of Massachusetts system on January 13, 2011. Caret, a native of New England, assumed the presidency of the University of Massachusetts after completing presidencies at San Jose State University and Towson University. It was announced on December 17, 2014 that Caret will become the next chancellor of the University System of Maryland.
