Robert Raburn Politician
Robert Raburn is an elected member of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) District Board of Directors. He represents District 4 which covers the City of Alameda and East Oakland including Chinatown, Lake Merritt, Fruitvale and Eastmont. He is a long-time grassroots activist, having served as Executive Director of the East Bay Bicycle Coalition, championed local ballot measures, and influenced transportation policy decisions in the Bay Area and California. Raburn has a Ph.D. in Transportation and Urban Geography from UC Berkeley. He taught geography and urban planning for a decade at San Jose State University.
