Roy Chaderton Politician

Roy Chaderton Matos (born August 17, 1942) is a Venezuelan politician, lawyer, and diplomat. A graduate of the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Chaderton is one of the most experienced members of the Venezuelan diplomatic corps. He was foreign minister from May 2002 to February 2004 in the government of Hugo Chávez. He then served as Venezuela's Ambassador to France until August 2007, when he was appointed as Ambassador to Mexico.Chaderton was nominated as the new Venezuelan ambassador to the United States on April 18, 2009, following a diplomatic standoff during U.S. President George W. Bush's administration that saw the expulsion of ambassadors between the two countries.
