Sandra Blanton Politician

Sandra "Sandy" Clark Blanton (born ca. 1955) is a Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives, having represented the 62nd District since 2007. She was reelected in 2012 to a fourth two-year term.Blanton is one of four children of Robert S. Clark, Sr. (1931-2013), a native of Shelby County, Kentucky, and the former Lillian Bruner, who still resides in Campbellsville, Kentucky. Her father was a long-term vice president of Baptist-affiliated Campbellsville University; her mother is a retired educator and a member of the Tayor County Board of Education in Campbellsville. Blanton graduated from Campbellsville University in 1977. Her husband, Larry Blanton, an Indiana circuit judge, graduated from CU in 1969. Her siblings are Renee Clark Kessler and husband Marc of Greensburg, Kentucky, Beverly Clark Manley and husband Gerald of Waddy, Kentucky, and Robert S. Clark, Jr., and wife Mary of Campbellsville.In 1987, Sandra Blanton received the Master of Business Administration degree from Roman Catholic-affiliated Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2000, she received the Master of Health Care Administration degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
