Shane Smeltz Football player

Shane Edward Smeltz (born 29 September 1981) is a New Zealand international footballer who plays as a striker for Sydney FC in the A-League.Smeltz spent much of his early career playing in Australia, before moving to England where he played for two and a half seasons. Smeltz has played in the A-League since 2007, with the exception of a brief stint with Gençlerbirliği in the Turkish Süper Lig. Smeltz is the all-time second-highest goalscorer in the A-League and was the top-goalscorer for now-defunct club Gold Coast United.Smeltz has scored 23 goals in 51 international appearances for New Zealand, and played at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
