Sheila Carey

Sheila Janet Carey MBE, née Taylor (born 12 August 1946, Coventry, England), is a British athlete who represented the United Kingdom at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City and the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. In Mexico City, she was fourth in the 800 metres final, while in Munich, she set a British record for the 1500 metres, finishing fifth. She represented England at the Commonwealth Games in 1970 and 1974. She was also part of the British 4 x 800 metres relay team that twice broke the world record in 1970.
