Tadamitsu Kishimoto Scientist

Dr.Tadamitsu Kishimoto (岸本 忠三, Kishimoto Tadamitsu, born May 7, 1939 in Osaka) is a Japanese immunologist known for research on IgM and cytokines, most famously, interleukin 6.He did postdoctoral work under Kimishige Ishizaka, the discoverer of IgE at Johns Hopkins University.He is listed by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) as a highly cited biologist and he is also in the top ten of h-index of living biologists.
