Tim Montgomery Athlete

Timothy Montgomery (born January 25, 1975) is a former American athlete. In 2005, he was stripped of his records – including a now void 100m world record of 9.78 seconds set in 2002 – after being found guilty of using performance-enhancing drugs. Since retiring from athletics he has been tried and convicted for his part in a New York–based check fraud scheme and for dealing heroin in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. He is currently (November 2009) serving time at the Federal Prison Camp Montgomery, Maxwell AFB, Alabama, where he still trains in the hope of making a comeback at the London 2012 Olympics.
