Tom Frieden Politician
Thomas R. Frieden has been since 2009 the Director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Acting Administrator of the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). He was appointed by President Barack Obama. He served as Commissioner of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene from 2002–09.
