Tony Mason College coach

Tony Mason (March 2, 1928 – July 23, 1994) was an American football coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Cincinnati from 1973 to 1976 and at the University of Arizona from 1977 to 1979, compiling a career college football record of 41–37–1. Mason was also the head football coach at Niles McKinley High School where the Red Dragons won Ohio State Championships in 1961 and 1963. He was elected to the Ohio High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 2002. Mason died on July 23, 1994 at the age of 66 after he collapsed at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
