Vera Nikolić Athlete
Vera Nikolić is a former Serbian track and field athlete and coach. Among other accomplishments, she was the winner of the European title of the 1966 European Championships, a bronze medalist at the 1969 European Championships and set a world record of 2:00.5 at Crystal Palace in London on July 20, 1968. She competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics, placing 5th. Nikolić was received a Golden Badge of Sport, award for the best athlete of Yugoslavia in 1966.
