Vilhelm Friman Koren Bjerknes ForMemRS (/ˈvɪlˌhɛlm ˈbjɜrknɨs/; 14 March 1862 – 9 April 1951) was a Norwegian physicist and meteorologist who did much to found the modern practice of weather forecasting.
