Walter Düvert Military person

Walter Düvert (2 October 1893 – 4 February 1972) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Walter Düvert retired from active duty on 30 November 1944.
