William Bradford Huie Writer
William Bradford "Bill" Huie (November 13, 1910 – November 20, 1986) was an American journalist, editor, publisher, television interviewer, screenwriter, lecturer, and novelist. He wrote several books about controversial topics related to World War II and racial prejudice and is best known for his choice of flashpoint topics (such as the African-American Civil Rights Movement) and for the practice of checkbook journalism. He had several books adapted as feature films during the 1960s and 1970s.
