Wolfgang Erdmann Military person

Dipl.-Ing. Wolfgang Erdmann (13 November 1898 – 5 September 1946) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Fallschirmjäger during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Wolfgang Erdmann was captured by British troops in May 1945 and committed suicide on 5 September 1946.
