Wolfgang Lange Military person

Wolfgang Lange (1 June 1898 – 10 February 1988) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Wolfgang Lange was captured on 15 April 1945 by American troops in the Ruhr Pocket. He was released in October 1947.
