Anton Döbele Military person

Anton Döbele (16 November 1910 – 11 November 1943) was a German Luftwaffe ace and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross during World War II. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Anton Döbele was killed on 11 November 1943 when he rammed an Il-2 Sturmovik, at the time of his death he was credited with 94 victories in 458 missions. On 26 March 1944 he was posthumously awarded the Knight's Cross and promoted to Leutnant.
