Barbara Kendall Athlete
Barbara Kendall, MBE (born 30 August 1967 in Papakura) is a boardsailor from New Zealand. Kendall was raised at Bucklands Beach and attended Macleans College. She won a gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, silver medal in 1996, and a bronze medal in 2000 Kendall finished 5th at the 2004 Games in Athens and sixth at the 2008 Games in Beijing. She is the first, and as of 2008, only woman from New Zealand to compete at 5 Olympic Games.
